DEC 2022
What a year. 2022 has been a year full of excitment and forging new ground with creativity and musicianship. Coming out of the pandemic at the start of the year garnered new ideas and leaning into new songs and new projects. I’ve been writing new songs for my home church and seeing them come to life has been exciting and rewarding seeing the ministry of those lyrics impact our church. So grateful for the team of people in MOTION CREATIVE that has helped make these songs into expressions of worship. Can’t wait for you to hear them so be on the lookout for those releases very soon.
In May I had the opportunity to return to Uganda to help Brad & Rebekah Bischel with the Watoto Worship Camp. A life changing experience and so blessed by the young people of Uganda that are leading the way in worship and creativity in Africa. During that time I was teaching the piano & keyboard classes as well as being apart of the worship team for the evening sessions. Those sessions were absolute God encounters for eveyone in that room and will always have a lasting imprint on myself and others as a reminder of authentic worship.
In the summer our Canadian creatives gathered once again to join in the Worship Central Canada Conference. It always feels like Christmas where the larger family of worship leaders , creatives and pastors gather to worship and learn. Seeing friends old and new was so much fun.
The remainder of the year was returning to the studio and working as well as seeing the fruit of our labour come out with the release of ALL YE LEPERS from Joshua Leventhal. This project was very special and very grateful and proud of the work that was achieved on that album. Be sure to have a listen.
With the momentum that was gathered in this year makes me excited for what will come in 2023. Continuing to write and make music. Praying that you have a fantastic new year and believing the best for what’s ahead.
